The Sant’Orso Fair in Aosta 2024

The Sant’Orso Fair in Aosta is an annual event held on January 30th and 31st, where artists and artisans from the Aosta Valley proudly display their works along the streets of downtown Aosta. Currently, the fair has expanded into the heart of the city, encompassing the entire area within and around the ancient Roman walls.
Casa Alpina Aosta offers an ideal option for attending the fair, providing cozy and comfortable apartments. Additionally, private parking is available for guests.
The fair showcases a wide range of traditional craft productions from the Aosta Valley, including sculptures and wood carvings, processing of soapstone, wrought iron, leather, drap weaving (wool fabric crafted on ancient wooden looms), lacework, wicker, household items, wooden stairs, and barrels.
This event is not just a commercial opportunity for exhibitors but also a way to share the creativity and industry of mountain people, expressing the Valdostan identity.
The Sant’Orso Fair offers an extraordinary experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a unique atmosphere, appreciating not only the commercial aspect but also the richness of centuries-old traditions. In addition to craft exhibitions, the fair is animated by music, folklore, and provides an opportunity to taste wines and typical products of the Aosta Valley.
The celebration culminates in the “Veillà,” a nighttime vigil that enlivens the streets of the city center until dawn, adding a magical touch to this annual celebration.
