About Aosta Valley climate
Aosta Valley has a diverse climate thanks to its mountainous terrain. In the valley (500-800 m) the climate is moderately continental with mild winters and warm summers.
At ski resorts (1500-2500 m) winters are snowy and long, and in summer temperatures rarely exceed 20°C, making the region ideal for year-round holidays.
Best time for skiing is December to April. For hiking and trekking — June to September.
